JOB PURPOSE

The Construction Manager will be responsible for working with an engineering firm to onboard properties into GoPowerEV by overseeing installation plans, managing the permitting process, coordinating all aspects of an installation (working with electrical contractors and on-site property managers), and scheduling the inspection.

We have built the best technology for EV charging in apartment buildings. This market is beginning to explode with EVs making up 25% of all car sales in CA this past year and growing rapidly. EV charging capabilities are going from an amenity to a necessity at multi-family properties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate the creation of installation plans with an Engineering firm, and manage the permitting process
  • Develop understanding of requirements for submission of plans to obtain building permits (rules will be very similar, but have some variances from city to city)
  • Codify the plan creation and submission process
  • Plan and track the property installations
  • Coordinate between electric installation contractor and on-site property manager for the onsite work
  • Develop and manage a scheduling system, to maximize project velocity
  • Manage the commissioning process
  • Schedule and coordinate inspection

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Valid Driver’s License and car insurance
  • Ability to maintain a satisfactory MVR report
  • 3-5 years experience in project coordination or project management
  • 3 years experience working for a construction firm
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a creative approach to problems
  • Strong People skills
  • Ability to work on a team and to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders
  • Track record of demonstrating integrity and exemplifying ethical behavior
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate innovative ideas and strategies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Preferred:
  • Cleantech implementation experience; Electrical contractor exposure

WORK HOURS

GoPowerEV hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. This role is mostly remote but requires occasional in-person site visits in Northern California.
