JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a technically adept Product Manager with a strong project management focus to drive the development and deployment of our EV charging solutions. This individual will serve as a critical liaison between engineering teams, utilities, partners, and certifying agencies, ensuring that our products meet technical and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional user experience. The Product Manager is a hybrid position, with the expectation to work remotely and visit customer sites as needed.

We have built the best technology for EV charging in apartment buildings. This market is beginning to explode with EVs making up 25% of all car sales in CA this past year and growing rapidly. EV charging capabilities are going from an amenity to a necessity at multi-family properties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product Development: Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical requirements, oversee design processes, and manage the product lifecycle.
  • Project Management: Lead cross-functional project initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a bridge between internal teams and external entities, including utilities, certification bodies, and partners, to ensure seamless integration and compliance.
  • Technical Expertise: Leverage your technical background to evaluate designs, troubleshoot challenges, and communicate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct research to understand industry trends, regulatory updates, and customer needs to inform product roadmaps.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed project plans, technical documentation, and status reports for stakeholders.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in product or project management within a technical field, preferably EV charging, utilities, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of hardware/software integration and electrical engineering principles.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies and navigating compliance requirements is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage diverse stakeholders.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is a bonus.
